McNair Scholars Program, which was created to help prepare talented juniors and seniors from low-income, first-generation, and/or underrepresented groups for graduate programs. For her project, Kiaralexis conducted original research under the guidance Dr. Rebekah Herrick.
Our majors are a pretty impressive bunch, so choosing one as our department's "Outstanding Senior" is always a tough pic for our Scholarship Committee. This year, the honor goes to Sydney Smith from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
