Ph.D., Political Science, University of Kansas, 2012
Amber Dickinson joined Oklahoma State University as a Clinical Assistant Professor in January 2014. She teaches large sections of Introduction to American Government, and will begin teaching a senior capstone course in Fall 2015. Her position at OSU gives her the opportunity to work closely with graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants- a task she greatly enjoys. She has previously taught courses on American Politics, Public Policy, and Political Parties, among others. Her past research has focused on gender and negative political advertising, and the role of campaign consultants in current campaigns. She looks forward to begin research on successful teaching methods, focusing specifically on the discipline of Political Science.
