Dr. Joshua Jansa earned his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina.  He teaches and researches topics in American politics, including interest groups and lobbying, state politics and policymaking, economic policy, and the politics of economic inequality.  His research has been published in State Politics and Policy QuarterlyEconomic Development Quarterly, and in edited volumes.  His dissertation received the Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy Dissertation Award as well as the Robert K. Merton Dissertation Award.
