Political science is a field for people who want to be fully engaged community and global citizens - our students want to lead or advise those that lead.  To help our students become engaged, OSU's political science department partners with a number of groups to offer on-campus and off-campus opportunities.  Many political science majors are active members of several student organizations, and our brightest students can apply to join our Pi Sigma Alpha honor society.  We offer undergraduate scholarships and graduate assistantships to make enrollment more affordable to students.

And, because a college degree is not enough to be competitive in today's job market, we offer practicle learning opportunities on the OSU campus that can become good resume builders.  We partner with two different organizations to offer students a chance to intern in Washington, DC.  Several faculty have led students on study-abroad courses, and our degree is flexible enough that we can work with students and OSU Study Abroad to make other international programs work with your major.
