Masters in Political Science
The Master’s Degree in Political Science is designed to prepare students for careers in state, local, and federal government, public service, and teaching. Graduates from this program have gone on to Ph.D. programs and are teaching at colleges and universities. Others have entered public service at all levels, to hold positions such as: lobbyists, congressional staffers, city managers, attorneys, and public program managers. Since the graduate program in Political Science was established in 1946, it has awarded M.A. degrees to hundreds of students, from over 12 countries.
The professionally active faculty serves on editorial boards of journals and publishes in a variety of outlets. Faculty publications include books, book chapters, articles in referred journals, reports, and conference papers.

The Department has recently adopted a mentoring program for teaching at the college level students.
Attend a seminar on teaching an American Government course and mentor with a faculty member in the first year. In the second year students teach their own section of Introduction to American Government. |
